Laser Drilling
Treatment to enhance the apparent clarity of a diamond by reducing the visibility of dark inclusions. A precise laser beam drills a small tunnel from the surface of the diamond to the dark inclusion; the black in the inclusion either dissipates from the laser beam itself, or else it is bleached out with acid.
